Being a Costa Rican family, we already know Costa Rica very well, and we booked Villa La Amistad to be near everything, and still have the ocean view and the beach. The property is just fabulous. You have everything you might have in your own house. It is very well equipped and maintained. The pool (where we spent most of our time) is perfect, and the view is speechless. The "rancho" and the bar-b-q we used a lot, so buy groceries for it. Because we spent New Years Eve, we got lucky and saw (like in first row) the fire works from the Four Seasons, and other hotels. It was much better than the Disney World fire works, which we saw last year! Near-by are plenty of beaches. In El Coco you can buy the groceries and things, and there are plenty of restaurants to go for dinner. We highly recommend Villa La Amistad, and our kids loved the vacation as we did, and compared to a hotel where you have to buy every meal and drink, is much less expensive. Take care Paul! Eric Sauter
